Business networking, mentoring "renew rural Iowa" seminar comin

Iowa

A business mentoring seminar designed to bring finance, legal and investment experts all under one roof is coming to Riverside Casino May 17 and 18.

The Renew Rural Iowa seminars are for entrepreneurs who want to build or grow their business. Even established entrepreneurs are finding value in attending Renew Rural Iowa seminars. Adam Pollock, owner of Elkader's innovating lighting design company, Fire Farm, says he came to Renew Rural Iowa to plan for the future of his company.

"I needed certain questions answered about my business which Renew Rural Iowa addressed such as, 'Where do we fit? How big is the market we serve? How well are we serving it? What is my potential growth and if there isn't potential, what are the core underlying reasons?' I think that process is helping sidestep misadventures and false starts for so many folks just beginning and it's also helping us focus our resources," says Pollock.

Support and enthusiasm for Renew Rural Iowa continues to spread across the state. Renew Rural Iowa was started by Iowa Farm Bureau last September as an innovative mentoring and business model designed to connect rural entrepreneurs to the education, mentoring and financial support they need to grow their business in rural Iowa. The seminar is the cornerstone in helping entrepreneurs in rural communities who want to develop or expand their interstate commerce businesses.

The May 17 and 18 Renew Rural Iowa seminar will take place at Riverside Casino in Riverside, near Iowa City. Space is limited, so to apply, visit www.iowafarmbureau.com/renewruraliowa or call 1-800-254-9670.
