Ada livestock sale notesThe Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 1,510 head May 24, compared to 2,040 head last week and 2,177 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $2 lower. Feeder heifers were steady to $1 higher. Demand was good on all classes. Quality and weigh-ups were average. Flesh conditions were medium to fleshy. The supply included of 50% heifers and 53% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady to $2 lower. A total of 280 cows and bulls sold with 40% going to packers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 316 lbs., 161.00; 6 head, 387 lbs., 148.50; 16 head, 655 to 662 lbs., 115.00 to 117.00 (116.32); 8 head, 710 to 748 lbs., 108.25 to 109.00 (108.40).
