Aberdeen cattle sales reportThe Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 1,729 head May 30, compared to 4,411 head last week and 3,500 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold $2 instances $3 lower. Overall offerings not as attractive as last week. Steers made up 64% of the run, heifers 36%, with 80% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 22 head, 509 lbs., 137.50; 706 to 747 lbs., 110.00 to 114.00 (112.93); 10 head, 788 lbs., 110.00; 806 to 833 lbs., 108.50 to 110.25 (108.92); 876 to 889 lbs., 104.75 to 107.25 (105.68); 15 head, 925 lbs., 106.50; 1141 to 1145 lbs., 95.50; 1150 to 1199 lbs., 93.75 to 99.25 (95.37).
