Apache cattle sales report
Stockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 2,714 head June 16, compared to 2,825 head last week and 4,114 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder cattle and calves were steady. Weigh-ups were average to full. Conditions continue to be wet with more rain in the forecast. The supply consisted of 58% steers, 41% heifers, 1% bulls, and 67% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were $2 to $3 lower. Slaughter bulls were $3 to $4 lower. A total of 214 cows and bulls sold with 43% going to packers.
