Ada livestock auction report
The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 1,505 head June 14, compared to 1,960 head last week and 2,977 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $2 higher. Feeder heifers were steady to $2 lower. Demand was good on all classes. Flesh conditions were medium to fleshy. Weigh-ups were average. The supply included 19% heifers and 37% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls steady. A total of 320 cows and bulls sold with 38% going to packers.
