Aberdeen cattle sales
The Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 2,190 head June 20, compared to 1,934 head last week and 2,388 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold $2 to $3 lower. Offerings included several long strings of steers and heifers. Steers made up 31% of the run, heifers 69%, with 99% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 7 head, 515 to 542 lbs., 120.00 to 122.00 (121.12); 24 head, 619 lbs., 120.00 calves; 6 head, 803 lbs., 97.75; 31 head, 897 lbs., 98.75; 902 to 933 lbs., 98.00 to 100.00 (98.09); 27 head, 979 lbs., 97.25; 1032 to 1037 lbs., 96.00; 1066 to 1078 lbs., 91.75 to 92.75 (92.46); 32 head, 1083 lbs., 87.75) fleshy. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 13 head, 621 lbs., 109.00; 17 head, 795 lbs., 95.00; 8 head, 800 lbs., 97.50; 6 head, 968 lbs., 93.00.
