Woodward livestock auction report

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 6,727 head June 8, compared to 6,731 head last week and 8,284 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady except those at 800 to 850 pounds were $2 higher, and over 1000 pounds were $2 lower. Feeder heifers were steady to $1 lower. Stocker steers wee steady to $1 higher. Steer and heifer calves were steady. Demand was good for all classes. Weigh-ups were average to full. The supply included 55% steers, 41% heifers with 88% over 600 pounds.
