Ogallala cattle sales reportThe Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Neb., reported receipts of 1,500 head June 6, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. There was no comparison to last week, due to no feeder sale. Steers accounted for 74% and heifers 26% of the offering, with 99% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 6 head, 413 lbs., 121.00; 11 head, 636 lbs., 119.00; 805 to 833 lbs., 104.00 to 109.75 (109.14); 852 to 892 lbs., 108.50 to 111.75 (110.78); 901 to 933 lbs., 106.75 to 109.60 (108.77). Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 884 to 897 lbs., 102.75 to 105.50 (104.97); 5 head, 909 lbs., 101.00. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 9 head, 567 lbs., 112.50; 660 to 667 lbs., 107.50 to 109.25 (108.58); 66 head, 724 lbs., 104.00 to 106.50 (105.74); 762 to 783 lbs., 103.50 to 107.25 (105.91); 804 to 818 lbs., 102.50 to 105.25 (104.97).
