High Plains weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending June 10, totaled 186,672 head, compared to 218,296 head last week and 200,683 head last year, according to the USDA to Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo. The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots. Steers: Live FOB basis, over 80% Choice, 1,249 head, 1,200 to 1,400 lbs., 90.50 to 93.00 (91.67); 65 to 80% Choice, 4,295 head, 1,175 to 1,450 lbs., 88.00 to 94.00 (91.16); 35 to 65% Choice, 41,604 head, 1,010 to 1,400 lbs., 88.00 to 92.00 (91.02); 0 to 35% Choice, 3,006 head, 960 to 1,325 lbs., 90.00 to 91.00 (90.94).
