FFA Foundation announces 2007 scholarship recipients
The Montana FFA Foundation is proud to announce 31 Montana students who have received 2007 FFA Scholarships on a state or national level. Over $35,000 will be awarded to Montana FFA members statewide. Winners of the 2007 Montana FFA Foundation scholarships were awarded during the 77th Annual Montana FFA State Convention in Billings.
Montana FFA Alumni Leadership Camp Scholarship recipients are David Dutton of Gold Creek, Adam Heggelund of Anaconda, Tessa Kern of Billings, Hannah Knobel of Conrad, and Rikki Yount of Deer Lodge.
Recipients of the Brad King Alumni Camp Scholarships are Echo Jones of Joliet and Joe Lombardi of Deer Lodge.
The Pat Cavey Alumni Camp Scholarship recipients are Lauren Klempel of Joliet and Rachel Long of Park City.
Other Montana FFA Foundation scholarship recipients are Rachel Long of Park City receiving the John Bliss Memorial Scholarship, Rocky Forseth of Fairfield receiving the Vern Dahlstrom Memorial Scholarship, and Ryan Mohr of Park City receiving the Irene Andres Memorial Scholarship.
"The Montana FFA Foundation is pleased to award scholarships to these outstanding individuals," states Raylee St. Onge, executive director of the Montana FFA Foundation. "They are all great representatives of Montana FFA."
In addition to the state scholarship recipients, the following students are recipients of scholarships from the National FFA Foundation. Built Ford Tough Scholarship recipients are Megan Brumfield of Shepherd, Tanner Cahill of Miles City, Amy Eickert of Kalispell, Caleb Igo of Belgrade, and Misty Stradtman of Ryegate.
Recipients of the Shipton's Big R Scholarships are Alta Peila of Shepherd, Charles Petranek of Roy, and Shalaine Watson of Forsyth.
Other scholarships recipients are Colleen Buck of Stevensville receiving the Cargill Community Scholarship, Nickole Disney of Stevensville receiving the National FFA Alumni Association Scholarship, Josie Evenson of Kalispell receiving the Garst Seed Company Scholarship, Heidi Grove of Hobson receiving the Dodge Truck Scholarship, Kayla Homewood of Columbus receiving the Pfizer Animal Health Scholarship, Kaitlin Keogh of Absorkee receiving the Bridgestone/Firestone Trust Fund-Firestone Agriculture Tire Company Scholarship, Garrett Larson of Miles City receiving the Georgia M. Hellberg Memorial Scholarship, Calli Oiestad of Big Timber receiving the AGDATA Inc. Scholarship, Andrea Pierson of Bridger receiving the Garst Seed Company Scholarship, Valerie Riter of Broadus receiving the Agrium U.S. Inc. Scholarship, and Jay Trotter of Richey receiving the BNSF Railway Scholarship.
