Dodge City cattle salesReceipts at Dodge City Winter Livestock Inc., Dodge City, Kan., reported receipts of 2,625 head June 6, compared to 3,965 head last week and 4,059 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, feeder steers at 350 to 700 pounds were not enough for a test, 750 to 900 pounds were steady to $1 higher, and 900 to 950 pounds were steady to weak. Feeder heifers at 350 to 900 pounds were not enough for an adequate market test, but a weaker undertone was noted. Slaughter cows were steady to $1 higher. Slaughter bulls were firm to $2 higher. Receipts included 87% over 600 pounds, 1% under 600 pounds and 12% slaughter cows and bull with 334 early. The feeder supply consisted of 68% steers and 32% heifers.
