Distillers grains seminar June 14 in Fremont

Nebraska

A June 14 Distillers Grains Seminar is designed to help Nebraska pork and poultry producers and agribusiness representatives learn more about current technologies and future trends related to ethanol production and using corn processing co-products in feed.

The day-long seminar at the Swanson Building at Midland Lutheran College in Fremont begins with registration at 8:30 a.m., and 9 a.m., opening remarks, said Duane Reese, swine specialist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The morning program will consist of general topics for pork and poultry producers. In the afternoon, producers will attend break-out sessions tailored to pork or poultry production.

Presenters include Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources specialists, Nebraska Department of Agriculture officials and representatives from the Nebraska corn Board, Nebraska Pork Producers Association and private industry.

Registration of $20 per person is requested by phone, fax, e-mail or mail by June 7. Registration after June 7 will be $30 per person.
