Ada livestock sale notes
The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 1,560 head June 7, compared to 885 head last week and 2,100 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $3 lower, feeder heifers were steady. Demand was moderate to good on all classes. Flesh conditions were medium to fleshy. Weigh-ups were average. The supply included 47% heifers and 48% over 600 pounds. Nearly 250 head of cows and bulls sold. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. Approximately 52% going to slaughter.
