Aberdeen cattle sales
The Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 2,285 head June 13, compared to 4,411 head last week and 4,500 head last year, according to the USDA to South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, load lots of quality feeder steers and heifers sold steady. Most other feeders sold $1 to $2 lower. Steers made up 39% of the run, heifers 61%, with 87% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 7 head, 394 lbs., 136.00; 57 head, 541 lbs., 135.00; 5 head, 554 lbs., 125.00; 621 to 634 lbs., 129.00 to 129.50 (129.14) calves; 10 head, 670 lbs., 121.50; 13 head, 710 lbs., 118.00; 58 head, 831 lbs., 110.75; 850 to 895 lbs., 102.00 to 110.75 (108.09); 10 head, 882 lbs., 98.00 fleshy; 915 to 942 lbs., 100.00 to 104.25 (101.28); 956 to 959 lbs., 100.50 to 105.00 (102.75); 12 head, 1012 lbs., 100.00; 31 head, 1118 lbs., 95.60. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 12 head, 551 to 552 lbs., 122.00 to 125.00 (123.75); 754 to 793 lbs., 102.50 to 108.00 (107.20).
