Texhoma cattle sales reportThe Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 389 head June 6, compared to 539 head last week and 1,178 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, there were not enough of any class on offer for a good market test. Demand was moderate for all classes. Fill was average. The supply included 50% steers, 45% heifers with 73% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were $2 lower. A total of 89 cows and bulls sold with 58% to packers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 575 to 588 lbs., 119.50; 3 head, 613 lbs., 117.50; 679 to 682 lbs., 108.50 to 112.00 (111.77); 7 head, 702 lbs., 108.50; 800 to 828 lbs., 102.25 to 103.00 (102.66). Medium and large frame 2, 4 head, 506 lbs., 117.50; 3 head, 563 lbs., 114.00; 6 head, 636 to 642 lbs., 109.50 to 110.00 (109.67). Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 7 head, 455 to 485 lbs., 117.00 to 119.00 (118.40); 620 to 646 lbs., 102.50 to 105.50 (105.08); 18 head, 712 to 741 lbs., 99.25 to 100.75 (100.41); 5 head, 759 lbs., 99.75. Medium and large frame 2, 7 head, 450 lbs., 115.00; 4 head, 545 lbs., 105.50; 12 head, 658 to 682 lbs., 100.50 to 102.50 (101.83). Slaughter cows: Breakers, 2 head, 75 to 80% lean, 1750 to 1925 lbs., 51.00 to 52.50. Boners, 22 head, 80 to 85% lean, 1025 to 1500 lbs., 50.00 to 52.50; high dressing, 53.00 to 54.00; low dressing, 46.50 to 48.00. Lean, 14 head, 85 to 90% lean, 950 to 1200 lbs., 48.50 to 50.00; high dressing, 52.00; low dressing, 44.50 to 48.00. Light, 7 head, 85 to 90% lean, 925 to 1000 lbs., 40.50 to 42.50. Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1 to 2, 7 head, 1350 to 1800 lbs., 62.50 to 66.00; low dressing, 56.50.
