Dodge City livestock reportReceipts at Dodge City Winter Livestock Inc., Dodge City, Kan., reported receipts of 3,965 head May 30, compared to 3,481 head last week and 2,572 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, feeder steers weighing 300 to 750 pounds and heifers at 300 to 650 pounds were not enough for a market test. Steers at 750 to 950 pounds and heifers at 650 to 900 pounds were steady. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. Trade and demand were moderate. Receipts included 94% over 600 pounds, 1% under 600 pounds and 5% slaughter cows and bull with 245 early. The feeder supply consisted of 43% steers and 57% heifers.
