Colorado feeder cattle sales

The Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary, Greeley, Colo., June 1, reported receipts of 540 head, compared to 1,970 head last week and 2,525 head last year, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News, Greeley, Colo.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were mostly steady in a seasonally light test. Demand was moderate for this week's light supply. The supply was made up of 44% feeder steers, the balance was feeder heifers, with nearly 31% of total feeder supply over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 350 lbs., 139.00; 400 to 420 lbs., 136.00 to 141.00; 530 to 550 lbs., 125.00 to 128.00; 610 to 640 lbs., 113.00 to 118.00; 600 to 620 lbs., calves 121.00 to 124.00; 780 to 790 lbs., 103.00 to 105.00; 830 lbs., 104.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 470 lbs., 120.00; 560 to 590 lbs., 118.00 to 124.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 410 to 460 lbs., 122.00 to 123.00; 510 to 560 lbs., 113.00 to 117.00; 670 lbs., calves 114.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 340 lbs., 121.00; 360 to 380 lbs., 116.00 to 118.00; 410 to 440 lbs., 116.00 to 117.00; 480 to 490 lbs., 109.00 to 111.00; 520 to 590 lbs., 105.00 to 117.50; 600 to 610 lbs., 111.00, calves 109.00 to 111.00.
