Apache cattle sales reportStockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 2,455 head June 2, compared to 2,178 head last week and 2,490 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder and stocker cattle were steady to $1 lower. Very limited test on stocker cattle. Cattle were in thin to fleshy condition. There was a good attendance of buyers and trade was active on better offerings, moderate on balance. Receipts were comprised of 48% steers, 47% heifers with 75% feeder cattle over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. Demand was moderate to good on limited numbers of bred cows and pairs going to grass. A total of 383 cows and bulls sold with 50% to packers.
