Ada livestock sale notesThe Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 885 head May 31, compared to 1,510 head last week and 1,925 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, heifers calves were steady. There were not enough steers on offer for a good market test. Demand was moderate on all classes. Flesh conditions were medium to fleshy. The supply included 45% heifers and 26% over 600 pounds. The weather is rainy and mild. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. A total of 181 cows and bulls sold with 37% going to packers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 15 head, 320 to 338 lbs., 145.00; 6 head, 415 lbs., 130.50; 12 head, 495 lbs., 130.00; 6 head, 515 to 531 lbs., 120.00 to 123.00 (120.98).
