Aberdeen cattle salesThe Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 2,950 head June 6, compared to 1,729 head last week and 2,292 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $1 lower. Steers made up 54% of the run, heifers 46%, with 99% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 11 head, 584 lbs., 134.00; 69 head, 645 lbs., 128.50 calves; 705 to 731 lbs., 114.00 to 116.50 (114.85); 806 to 817 lbs., 107.50 to 109.00 (108.75); 858 to 893 lbs., 105.00 to 109.25 (108.42); 900 to 945 lbs., 100.00 to 109.20 (105.38); 950 to 967 lbs., 104.00; 56 head, 1049 lbs., 96.50.
