Winners chosen at Missouri Junior Angus Preview Show

Missouri Junior Angus members led 126 entries at the 2007 Missouri Junior Angus Preview Show at the Missouri Cattlemen's Association All-Breeds Show, held on June 9 in Sedalia, Mo. Casey McMurphy, Alva, Okla., evaluated the 10 bred-and-owned bulls, 81 owned females, 25 bred-and-owned females, four cow-calf pairs and six steers before naming the champions.

Clearwater Backlash 1556 claimed the grand champion bull title after first winning calf champion. Jera Pipkin, Republic, Mo., owns the September 2006 son of GAR Retail Product.

D A C New Day 62 was named reserve grand champion bull. Owned by Austin Sayre, Creighton, Mo., the January 2006 son of Boyd New Day 8005 first won junior champion.

Samuel Wallace, Stotts City, Mo., led WCC Primrose 586 to grand champion owned female. The September 2005 daughter of W C C Precision E161 J239 first claimed senior champion honors.

Lady Erica of M A R 86 won the reserve grand champion owned female title after being selected as junior champion. Gregory Connell, Eugene, Mo., owns the March 2006 daughter of Exar Lutton 1831.

WCC Blackbird 597 was named the grand champion bred-and-owned female after first winning senior champion. Paige Wallace, Stotts City, Mo., owns the October 2005 daughter of B/R New Frontier 095.

Wallace also claimed reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female honors with WCC Arkdale Pride 6014. The April 2006 daughter of EXAR New Look 2971 first won the junior champion title.

Danny Ulmanis, Koshkonong, Mo., showed the grand champion cow-calf pair. BUBS Senorita Hazel R121 is an April 2005 daughter of BUBS Plenty Good N47. A March 2007 heifer calf sired by BUBS Cabenero RC59 completes the winning pair.

Sayre also exhibited the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. W C C Jet 423 is a February 2004 daughter of Summitcrest High Prime 0H29. Her calf is a January 2007 daughter sired by Boyd New Day 8005.

Jacob Heimsoth, Lathrop, Mo., exhibited the grand champion steer. Janssen Raptor 604 is a March 2006 son of Dameron P V F Raptor 702.

Reba Colin, Butler, Mo., led Briarwood Boy 6070 to the reserve grand champion steer title. He is a March 2006 son of Briarwood Man 1076.
