Save on tickets to Iowa attractions available through Farm Bure

Iowa

Are your kids bored already this summer? Need a family getaway? Looking for something fun to do in Iowa? If this sounds like your family, then consider visiting one of Iowa's many attractions--at a savings. Iowa Farm Bureau members can now take the family to Adventureland, Living History Farms, Blank Park Zoo, Iowa State Fair, the Iowa Speedway and the Iowa Hall of Pride--all at a reduced price. Members can take advantage of all these family fun spots by visiting their county Farm Bureau office or by accessing www.iowafarmbureau.com.

Farm Bureau members will save $3 per Adventureland ticket purchased through September 2007. Members also save $10 off on 2007 season passes. The Farm Bureau member savings coupon is not valid with any other offer. With the coupon, prices at the gate will be $22 for children (ages 4-9), $26 for regular (ages 10+) and $22 for seniors (ages 65+). The park is currently open daily through August 20, then open weekends and Labor Day Aug. 25 through Sept. 30.

Living History Farms in Urbandale is offering a $2 savings on daily admission to Farm Bureau members through Sept. 3. A coupon will be needed for each individual. With the coupon, prices at the gate will be $9 for adults, $4 for children (ages 4 to 12) and $8 for seniors (60+).

Farm Bureau members can save $10 on a Blank Park Zoo family or grandparent membership, plus receive four free children's train ride tickets, in addition to the savings and benefits already offered by the Zoo. With the coupon, a family or grandparent membership costs $59. Members also receive $2 off daily admission with a Farm Bureau coupon year-round. With the daily admission coupon, prices at the gate will be $6 for adults, $3 for children (under 14 years) and $4 for seniors (65 years+).

Farm Bureau members can purchase advance tickets to the Iowa State Fair from county Farm Bureau offices beginning late June. The fair will be held Aug. 9 through the 19. By purchasing tickets in advance, adult fairgoers will save $4 off the gate price of $10--that's a savings of 40 percent. Children (ages 6-11) will save $1 off the gate price of $4. Children under 5 receive free admission.

Iowa Farm Bureau members can now take their family to the new Iowa Speedway in Newton at a reduced price. This summer only, Farm Bureau members in Iowa can purchase 2007 Iowa Speedway event tickets at a 20 percent discount. Ticket prices vary depending on the race but generally begin at $25-30. Tickets can be purchased by calling 866-RUSTY-GO, ordering online at www.iowaspeedway.com or visiting your local Ticketmaster location or the Iowa Speedway office in Newton.

Finally, don't forget about visiting the Iowa Hall of Pride, sponsored by the Iowa Farm Bureau. The Hall showcases the achievements of all Iowans--from student athletes and sports legends to movie stars and scientists. Interactive, hands-on exhibits tell the stories of these Iowans in a way that will entertain and educate you. The Iowa Hall of Pride is located in the Iowa Events Center in downtown Des Moines and open year-round. Iowa Farm Bureau members receive free admission when presenting your Farm Bureau membership card at the door.
