Ogallala cattle sales report
The Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Neb., reported receipts of 2,200 head June 27, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. There was no comparison to last week, due to no feeder sale. Demand was active on all weights of cattle. Steers accounted for 77% and heifers 23% of the offering today, with 97% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 544 to 548 lbs., 121.00 to 122.75 (121.84); 6 head, 596 lbs., 119.00; 630 to 638 lbs., 120.75 to 122.00 (120.92); 676 to 699 lbs., 115.00 to 120.75 (119.30); 736 to 749 lbs., 118.25 to 119.75 (119.01); 41 head, 759 lbs., 114.25; 802 to 844 lbs., 106.50 to 111.50 (109.66); 852 to 875 lbs., 106.75 to 112.00 (109.11); 57 head, 934 lbs., 107.50. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 19 head, 733 lbs., 112.00; 10 head, 940 lbs., 100.00. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 12 head, 558 lbs., 108.00; 16 head, 677 to 693 lbs., 105.50 to 106.50 (105.81); 723 to 741 lbs., 104.00 to 108.50 (107.19); 766 to 769 lbs., 103.00 to 108.60 (105.50); 821 to 845 lbs., 100.50 to 102.50 (101.35).
