High Plains weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending July 1, totaled 160,591 head, compared to 134,572 head last week and 229,890 head last year, according to the USDA-Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo. The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots.
