Enter wheat for prizes and cash at the Ellis County Fair
Kansas With wheat harvest here, farmers in Ellis County may want to take advantage of the Ellis County Fair Market wheat Show. Cash awards and ribbons will be given for first, second and third place winners in each of the following classes: Jagger, Jagalene, TAM 111, Open (all other varieties). There will be an overall Grand and Reserve Champion selected among all of the wheat entries which will be sent to compete at the Kansas State Fair. To enter wheat into the fair all you have to do is leave a sample at the elevator and fill out a crop data card at your convenience and have it back to the elevator by July 10. The bags, crop data cards and general rules are all available at the Coop elevators. You can also submit your samples to the Extension Office, if you have any questions give us a call at 628-9430.
