Disaster relief still available

Kansas

In an effort to ensure that producers affected by recent natural disasters continue to receive supplies, Kansas Cattlemen's Association teamed up with Guardian Fence Company out of Columbia, S.C., to supply producers with fencing materials. Hearing that some producers still do not have their fences up, Guardian Fence Company donated more than 20,000 pounds of barbed wire allocated to Kansas producers. Working with KCA, Guardian loaded the materials up from their headquarters in South Carolina, and KCA coordinated to have it transported to Kinsley Recycling Center in Edwards County.

Any producer affected by recent natural disasters who still needs barbed wire may contact the KCA office at 785-539-6014 or the Edwards County Emergency Preparedness Office 620-659-2188. As well, the KCA office has received additional donations from its members and other producers interested in helping. If you need additional assistance, supplies, or materials, please contact the KCA office.
