Dalhart livestock sales reportThe Cattleman's Livestock Auction, Dalhart, Texas, reported receipts of 1,107 head June 28, compared to 1,436 head last week and 1,288 head last year, according to the Texas Department of Agriculture Market News-USDA Market News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to two weeks ago, feeder steers and heifers under 450 pounds were steady to $2 higher, 450 to 600 pounds were steady, over 600 pounds were firm to $1 higher. Slaughter cows were $2 higher. Slaughter bulls were not well tested. The bulk of the supply were Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 350- to 900-pound feeder steers and heifers. Feeder cattle accounted for 81% and slaughter cows and bulls 19%. In the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 72% of the run, heifers 28%, steers and heifers over 600 -pounds totaled 64%.
