Apache cattle sales report

Stockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 857 head June 30, compared to 2,890 head last week, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, all classes were steady to $1 higher in an extremely light test. Rains have continued daily for the last two weeks. Weigh-ups were gaunt to average. Good attendance of buyers. Demand was good. There were not enough cows and bulls for a good market test. No sales reported. The supply consisted of 42% steers, 1% Holsteins, 47% heifers, 10% bulls, and 55% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 543 to 545 lbs., 110.00 to 125.00 (123.12); 708 to 729 lbs., 107.00 to 112.75 (110.84); 7 head, 789 lbs., 106.60; 26 head, 871 lbs., 102.25.

Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 1, 6 head, 481 lbs., 115.00; 5 head, 613 to 635 lbs., 112.75 to 113.00 (112.85); 5 head, 715 to 745 lbs., 96.00 to 98.25 (97.81).

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 410 to 447 lbs., 115.00 to 119.00 (118.25); 15 head, 455 to 484 lbs., 106.00 to 115.00 (114.21); 10 head, 512 to 538 lbs., 104.00 to 110.00 (107.75); 550 to 576 lbs., 108.00 to 110.50 (109.53); 15 head, 600 to 618 lbs., 107.00 to 108.00 (107.74); 5 head, 655 to 688 lbs., 95.00 to 105.50 (101.78); 10 head, 713 to 718 lbs., 100.00 to 102.00 (101.60); 7 head, 817 lbs., 97.50. Medium and large frame 2, 10 head, 470 to 489 lbs., 96.00 to 114.50 (104.20).
