High Plains slaughter newsHigh Plains weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending July 22, totaled 209,862 head, compared to 188,494 head last week and 159,756 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo. The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots.
