Apache cattle sales report
Stockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 3,509 head July 21, compared to 4,229 head last week and 3,595 head last year, according to the USDA to Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $2 lower, mostly steady on few top grading cattle. Feeder heifers were steady to $1 lower. Quality not as attractive as last week with several lighter muscled cattle included. The demand for all classes was moderate. Slaughter cows were steady to $1 lower. Slaughter bulls were $3 lower. A total of 630 cows and bulls sold with 47% going to packers.
