St. Joseph feeder pigs
The St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., reported receipts of 330 head July 17, compared to 572 head last week and 344 head last year, according to the USDA-Missouri Department of Agriculture Market News, St. Joseph, Mo. Compared to last week, feeder pigs weighing 40 to 50 pounds sold steady and 60 to 70 pound pigs were $5 higher, over 70 pounds were not tested. Prices paid per head on actual weights. U.S. 1 to 2: lot 43 lbs., 35.50; lot 68 lbs., 56.00; lot 74 lbs., 55.00. US. 2 to 3: package 37 lbs., 23.00; lot 97 lbs., 41.00; package 110 lbs., 70.00 slaughter. Date: 7/19/07
