Dodge City cattle salesReceipts at Dodge City Winter Livestock Inc., Dodge City, Kan., reported receipts of 2,689 head July 11, compared to 1,680 head two weeks ago and 3,635 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last sale, steers and heifers 300- to 700-pounds not enough for a market test. Steers and heifers 700 to 1000 pounds were $5 to $7 higher. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady to firm. Trade was active, demand was good. Receipts included 88% 600 pounds and over, 4% 600 pounds and under, 8% slaughter cows and bulls with 206 head, early. The feeder supply included 65% steers and 35% heifers.
