Ada livestock sale notesThe Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 1,750 head July 12, compared to 4,530 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to the sale two weeks ago, feeder steers and heifers were $5 to $8 higher. Demand was good on all classes. Flesh conditions were medium. Weigh-ups were average. The supply included 42% heifers and 38% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady to $2 higher. A total of 285 cows and bulls sold with 34% going to packers.
