Tulsa livestock sales reportThe Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 1,597 head June 25, compared to 1,845 head last week and 2,870 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, stocker and feeder steers were steady. Stocker and feeder heifers were mostly steady with weaker undertones. Demand was good with good attendance of buyers. Weigh-ups were average, few attractive, fleshy calves in abundance. Prices holding on better quality. Receipts included 46% steers, 44% heifers, 10% bulls, with 40% feeder cattle over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady with very light test on replacement cattle. A total of 162 cows and bulls sold with 60% going to packers.
