St. Joseph feeder pigsThe St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., reported receipts of 933 head June 26, compared to 320 head last week and 655 head last year, according to the USDA-Missouri Department of Agriculture Market News, St. Joseph, Mo. Compared to last week, feeder pigs sold steady to $4 lower. Supplies were much heavier than last week with several large strings of pigs in the offering. Prices paid per head on actual weights. U.S. 1 to 2: lot 45 lbs., 42.25; 53 to 56 lbs., 43.00 to 48.00; 60 to 61 lbs., 44.50 to 46.25; lot 71 lbs., 47.50. U.S. 1 to 3: 43 to 49 lbs., 31.00 to 35.00; lot 48 lbs., 25.00 hothouse; 52 to 59 lbs., 35.00 to 37.00. U.S. 2 to 3: package 33 lbs., 15.00; package 45 lbs., 27.50. Date: 6/28/07
