Pratt livestock sales reportPratt Livestock Sales Inc., Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 776 head, June 21, compared to 858 head, last week and 2,165 head, last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared to last week, feeder steers at 300 to 950 pounds and feeder heifers at 300 to 800 pounds were not enough for a market test. Feeder heifers weighing 800 to 850 pounds were steady, while 850 to 1000 pounds were not tested. Trade was active, demand was good. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. Receipts include 79% 600 pounds and over, 12% 600 pounds and under, 9% cows and bulls. The feeder supply included 59% steers and 41% heifers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 11 head, 520 lbs., 119.50; 56 head, 623 lbs., 116.75; 24 head, 694 lbs., 113.00; 68 head, 738 lbs., 106.75; 63 head, 786 lbs., 114.35; 67 head, 895 lbs., 104.35; 58 head, 946 lbs., 101.35. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 4 head, 711 lbs., 102.00; 750 to 800 lbs., 107.50 to 108.00 (107.61). Medium and large frame 2, 10 head, 527 lbs., 110.00. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 398 lbs., 114.50; 5 head, 482 lbs., 108.00; 12 head, 511 lbs., 109.00; 18 head, 589 lbs., 108.50; 37 head, 622 lbs., 101.75; 16 head, 684 lbs., 97.00; 34 head, 784 lbs., 100.85; 800 to 850 lbs., 99.00 to 102.25 (100.66). Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 6 head, 826 lbs., 97.00. Baby calves: Per head, 3 head, 130.00 to 375.00 (245.00). Feeder cows: Medium and large frame 1, heiferettes, 3 head, 78.00 to 85.00 (81.00).
