St. Joseph feeder pigs

The St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., reported receipts of 570 head July 10, compared to 934 head two weeks ago and 1,038 head last year, according to the USDA-Missouri Department of Agriculture Market News, St. Joseph, Mo.

Compared to two weeks ago, feeder pigs under 50 pounds were steady, 50 to 60 pounds were steady to $4 higher, and 60 to 70 pounds sold $3 to $5 higher. Prices paid per head on actual weights.

U.S. 1 to 2: 33 to 36 lbs., 27.50 to 29.50; 42 to 46 lbs., 35.00 to 35.50; 52 to 56 lbs., 47.00 to 49.00; 61 to 67 lbs., 50.00 to 52.50.
