Woodward livestock sales

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 1,850 head Jan. 20, compared to 4,744 head last week and 6,223 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady, except over 900 pounds were $1 to $2 higher. Feeder heifers were $2 to $3 higher. Steer calves were steady to $2 higher. Heifer calves were $4 to $6 higher. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average. Quality was average. The supply included 54% steers, 39% heifers with 71% over 600 pounds.
