Watertown cattle sales

The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 1,700 head Jan. 24, compared to 1,150 head last week and 1,700 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Compared to last week, it was a light test on feeder cattle under 600 pounds with a weak undertone. Feeder cattle over 650 pounds showed strong to $1 higher. The offering included 58% feeder steers, 42% feeder heifers, with 82% over 600 pounds.
