St. Joseph feeder pigs

The St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., Jan. 23, reported receipts of 205 head, compared to 216 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo.

There was no recent good price comparison, but feeder pigs under 70 pounds had a lower undertone and over 70 pounds had a steady undertone. Prices paid per head on actual weights.

U.S. 1 to 2: lot 52 lbs., 23.50; package 65 lbs., 25.00; lot 78 lbs., 35.50; 84 to 85 lbs., 35.50 to 37.50; package 91 lbs., 35.00.

U.S. 1 to 3: 50 to 55 lbs., 20.00 to 20.50.

U.S. 2 to 3: package 48 lbs., 20.00
