Ogallala feeder cattle sales

The Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Neb., reported receipts of 6,800 head Jan. 18, compared to 7,700 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Neb.

There were no comparisons available due to no feeder sale last week. The Ogallala Livestock 51st Annual Stock Show special and Regional World Livestock Auctioneer Contest had a good crowd with an active market. Steers accounted for 55% and heifers 45% of the offering, with 75% over 600 pounds.
