Woodward cattle sales report

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 3,027 head Feb. 16, compared to 6,927 head last week and 441 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $2 higher. Feeder heifers were $1 to $3 higher. Steer calves in a limited test were $2 higher. Heifer calves were steady to $3 higher. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average, with few full. Quality was plain through attractive. The supply was comprised of 58% steers, 40% heifers with 4% over 600 pounds.
