Watertown cattle sales report

The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 1,825 head Feb. 21, compared to 1,200 head last year, according to the South Dakota-USDA Livestock Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Compared to last week, feeder steers over 650 pounds were steady while feeder steers weighing 600 pounds and under were $1 to $2 lower. Feeder heifers on a light test were $4 to $5 lower, though fancy heifers were steady with last week. Feeder steers made up 62% of the run, 38% feeder heifers, with 92% Offerings over 600 pounds.
