O'Leary accepts CSU postTexas Dr. Joseph T. O'Leary, who has headed the recreation, park and tourism sciences department at Texas A&M University for five years, will become dean of Colorado State University's Warner College of Natural Resources in May. "Joe is an exceptional individual, and we wish him great success in his new position," said Dr. Elsa Murano, vice chancellor and dean of agriculture and life sciences at Texas A&M. Colorado State officials said O'Leary's "breadth of career experience spanning several land-grant institutions and involvement in both domestic and international initiatives will bring a wealth of resources to the position." O'Leary said he has devoted his career to "the social behavior and travel patterns of domestic and international recreation consumers." He also has studied recreation and leisure trends and the social impacts of recreation resource development. He obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of New Brunswick, School of Forestry, a master's from Yale University's School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and a doctorate from the University of Washington, College of Forest Resources.
