Montana stockgrower named national policy leader
At the recent 2007 Cattle Industry National Convention in Nashville, Montana Stockgrowers Association Past President Bill Donald was unanimously elected National Cattlemen's Beef Association Policy Division Vice-Chairman. As vice chair, Bill will be responsible for matters relating to legislative, regulatory and governmental affairs, cattle and beef production, efficiency information, research and animal health matters, including all related budget and program matters. "I look forward to engaging cow-calf producers across the country in the policy development process of NCBA," said Donald in regards to his new appointment. Donald owns and operates Cayuse Livestock Company in Melville, Mont. He previously served as president of the Crazy Mountain Farmer-Stockman Association, the MSGA Land Use Committee vice chair and chairman, and has served on the State Lands Ad Hoc Committee. Nationally, he has been a member of the NCBA Property Rights/Environmental Management Committee and has worked on numerous political issues that affect the industry. A 6 3/5/07 None Date: 2/19/07
