19th annual 2008 Topeka Farm Show set Jan. 8 to 10Kansas Farmers visiting the 2008 Topeka Farm Show and the Kansas Soybean Expo 2008 will have the opportunity to see the newest and latest in farm and ranch equipment, plus attend the annual convention of the Kansas Soybean Association "Soybeans-The Seeds of Success." The 2008 Topeka Farm Show dates are Jan. 8 to 10 while the Kansas Soybean Expo will be held Jan. 9. Show hours are Jan. 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Jan. 9 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Jan. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free admission and free parking at the 2008 Topeka Farm Show. Producers, families and distributors come together for three days of education and entertainment at the Kansas Expocentre. Attend the daily Educational Seminars located at the south end of Landon Arena and register for a $100 gas card to be giving away daily. If you're looking for new farm and ranch technology, feed and seed data, building suppliers, antique equipment, and more, the Topeka Farm Show provides all that. New items that will be displayed in 2008 include: Dodge and Toyota farm pickups, electric cattle guard, synthetic water tank liners, Hustler turf equipment, Bad Boys mowers, rotary tree saw plus seven lines of field sprayers and 35 to 70 hp tractors. This year's special attractions include: Craig Cameron "From "Beginning to Winning"...Ride Smart" horse clinics, Purebred Cattle Expo featuring breeding stock from across the region, and twice daily Cowdog Demos. Craig Cameron's Free Horsemanship Clinics are located in the R.R. Domer Livestock Arena and will be held daily. See the best in business as he incorporates his unique training methods. Cow dog demonstrations will be twice daily in the Exercise Area. See the top dog trainer in the area, as he guides his Border Collies through a series of hands on demonstrations. Those attending the 2008 Topeka Farm Show are encouraged to visit the Show Office located in Exhibition Hall Atrium to register for 40 acres (twelve bags-$1608) of Midland Corn Seed sponsored by your local Midland Seed dealer. The drawing will be held at 3:30 p.m., Jan. 9 and you need not be present to win. A large variety of free health care will be available to those attending the farm show. Visit the Shawnee /Osage County Farm Bureau display located in the new Exhibition Hall Atrium for the free health checks.
