St. Joseph feeder pigsThe St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., reported receipts of 715 head Dec. 18, compared to 633 head last year, according to the USDA-Missouri Department of Agriculture Market News, St. Joseph, Mo. There is no recent comparison, however a lower undertone was noted. A nice offering of feeder pigs sold with several large strings in the offering. Prices paid per head on actual weights. U.S. 1 to 2: 2 lots 48 lbs., 15.25 to 18.50; lot 54 lbs., 18.00; 62 to 63 lbs., 18.50 to 20.25; package 66 lbs., 15.00; lot 87 lbs., 25.00. U.S. 1 to 3: lot 41 lbs., 12.00; lot 58 lbs., 10.00; lot 37 lbs., 5.00 hothouse. U.S. 2 to 3: lot 42 lbs., 5.00. Date: 12/20/07
