Dunlap livestock salesThe Dunlap Livestock Auction, Dunlap, Iowa, reported receipts of 2,407 head Dec. 14, compared to 2,837 head last week and 4,590 head last year, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa. This was a special feeder cattle sale. Demand was moderate. There were no comparison because the last three weeks were preconditioned sales. There was a wider price spread on non-weaned calves with no vaccinations and pressure was on the yearling cattle. Receipts included 81% feeder cattle over 600 pounds, 50% feeder heifers, 6% feeder bulls and 44% steers.
