Colorado feeder cattle reportThe Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary, Greeley, Colo, Dec. 14, reported receipts of 5,293 head, compared to 10,460 head last week and 7,365 head last year, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News, Greeley, Colo. Compared to last week, steers and heifers calves under 600 pounds were $1 to $3 lower, calves and yearlings over 600 pounds were steady to $1 higher. Demand was moderate to good. Trade activity was slowing with the upcoming holidays. The supply was made up of 60% feeder steers, the balance was feeder heifers, with about 46% of total supply over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 340 to 350 lbs., 136.00 to 143.00; 400 to 440 lbs., 128.00 to 144.00; 450 to 490 lbs., 118.00 to 132.00; 500 to 540 lbs., 109.50 to 127.00; 550 to 590 lbs., 105.00 to 122.00; 600 to 640 lb. calves 103.50 to 116.50; 650 to 690 lb. calves 101.00 to 110.75; 700 to 750 lb. calves 103.50 to 109.00; 750 to 790 lbs., 105.00 to 110.00, 785 to 795 lb. calves 108.00 to 109.25; 800 to 850 lbs., 103.00 to 108.50; 920 lbs., 104.75. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 400 to 440 lbs., 119.00 to 129.00; 450 to 490 lbs., 115.00 to 126.25; 530 to 590 lbs., 106.50 to 118.25; 610 to 640 lb. calves 103.00 to 106.00; 650 to 680 lb. calves 101.00 to 105.00; 720 to 780 lb. calves 97.50 to 101.50.
