South Central direct sheepThe South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending Dec. 7, showed receipts of 200 feeder lambs and 100 replacement nannies and does, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas. Trading was at a near standstill in the area this week. Available lambs are limited. There were no slaughter lambs, and slaughter and replacement ewes were not tested. Slaughter meat goats, kids, were not tested. Buyers and sellers were taking a wait and see attitude. Feeder lambs: Texas, 200 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 70 lbs., 102.00 to 103.00. Replacement nannies/does: Texas, 100 head, Selection 1 to 2, mixed age 85.00 per head. Date: 12/13/07
